Melrose Resources , one of the country’s most successful pipeline construction companies, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, announced that Dow Chemical Company has honored Melrose Resources with their “Safety Excellence Award” for 2012. This award is given to companies who have worked more than 50K man-hours during the year, have maintained an OSHA rate of less than .21 (Driver’s rate is 0.0), who have helped contribute to Texas Operations overall Safety Performance, and who are top performers in Dow’s Safety and Site Work process during the year. This award was given to only 21 out of over 225 companies that work at Dow TXOPS.

Melrose Resources thanked the entire Driver/Dow team for the Award. “We appreciate everyone’s focus and commitment to safety.”  “We especially thank our friends at Dow who provide this recognition. Other customers talk Safety, but Dow lives it and actively supports it, which is greatly appreciated.”

 In addition to the Safety in Excellence Award, Melrose Resources Inc. also received Dow Chemical’s “2012 Best in Class” award. This award is given to companies who have worked more than 50K man hours during the year, have maintained an OSHA rate of less than .21 for four consecutive years (Driver’s rate is 0.0), who have helped contribute to Dow’s overall Safety Performance for those 4 consecutive years, and who have been top performers in Dow’s Safety and Site Work Process during the year. This award was given to only 11 out of the more than 225 companies that work with Dow.
